In order to get your desired time and date available, booking your session as early as you can is highly recommended. Ideally you can book your session right after you are given your due date as early as your 6 weeks Ultrasound scan, or around the beginning of your second trimester. My session availability is very limited in each month as I require plenty of time to perfect upcoming sessions with other clients.
WHEN TO SCHEDULE A SESSION
NEWBORN
Not all babies arrived around their due dates, therefore I recommend booking your session far in advance so I can add your due date to my calendar and secure your booking. Pre-booking also allows you to prepare for the session ahead of time, such as planning the set-ups, poses, wardrobes etc, and communicating together about your overall vision for your session BEFORE your new bundle of joy arrives.
If you don’t get the chance to book earlier and your baby has arrived, I encourage you to contact me regardless to see if there is any availability to fit you in.
When your baby arrives, please contact me as soon as possible so we can secure a date within three weeks of your baby’s birth. If you know your C-section or induction date then the session date can be booked in advance.
My calendar fills up quickly and I try my best to leave spaces open for last minute newborns. Newborn sessions are scheduled between 4-14 days. This is done for several reasons. Newborns this young are more likely to “curl up” and remain sleepy for the duration of the session.
They are much more tolerant of being posed and moved around than a 3 or 4 week old. Almost all of the “sleepy newborn” shots you see here on the website were done with newborns 14 days old or younger.
If your baby is older than 2 weeks, don’t worry, we can still capture beautiful photos-it may just take more effort on both ends and we will need to skip some of the poses you see.
BABY
Baby sessions can be scheduled at any time. 3 – 8 months of age is a great time for portraits because babies can support their head while on their tummy and/or sit up confidently and have so many adorable expressions to capture!
MATERNITY
Maternity portraits are best taken between 32 – 36 weeks of pregnancy, when your belly is showing nicely and before you are feeling too uncomfortable to pose.
STUDIO AND LOCATION
Your newborn session will take place in my home studio in South Melbourne, Victoria. Maternity, Baby and 1-yr Celebration/ Cake Smash session may be in the studio, or at an outdoor location for an additional fee.
THE REVEAL
It’s time to see your photographs! Approximately three weeks following your session you will be invited to return to the studio to see your beautiful gallery.
Following this you will be able to take all your photographs which will be printed for you to take home! All of your photographs are ready to frame, gift or store in your keepsake box to enjoy for generations to come.

REFUND POLICY
Digital collections are non-refundable.
The studio takes utmost care with respect to the development, quality and delivery of images, prints and canvases.
For prints and canvases – if the client is not satisfied with the quality, or if the product is damaged upon receipt, return for replacement or refund.
